Persephone, soothe your weeping mother. Kiss. Hold hands.
Say goodbye. Let go of flesh. Reach for Hades, hold hands.
Seasons and tides pull us away to new positions.
Planets orbit. At fresh re-encounters, we hold hands.
The mother cries as her body breaks, moves like the earth.
Born child, her own storm, grasps with moist fingers to hold hands.
