Submission Guidelines (for Authors)

By submitting content, you are certifying that the content is yours, and that if the content references another’s work, that source is credited. By submitting content, you are agreeing to allow ZionBuzz.Com to publish your work as is.

Please paste the entire document/ image into the email. Do not send us attachments. Attachments are unsanitary, as they transport lethal viruses that can render our systems useless, thereby provoking anxiety, panic, and indigestion among the ZionBuzz.Com staff. And, let’s be frank, if the Editor has diarrhea because of you, she will not look kindly on your submission. Your subject line should indicate what is contained in your submission. If your subject line contains a directive, such as “Check this out,” or a prediction like “You’ll love this,” trust us, the Editor won’t because she prides herself in being both stubborn and obstinate.

Submit only one piece of work at a time. Because.

INCLUDE YOUR NAME

Anonymous submissions are not being considered at this time, but pseudonyms will be, so long as they are in good taste (FYI: The Editor has always wanted to explore the creative whimsy of Mr. Joe Plumber).

Include your name and identifying information under the piece title. In fact, all submissions should look like this:

Your Name
Indicate whether under or over 18 years-of-age (Not for publication)
Your City of Residence (if not in Zion-Benton, explain your connection to the area)
Your phone number
Your email address
Piece Content

*NOTE:  If you are a minor, we do believe that parents/guardians should be aware of the content you are contributing. Please provide a contact phone number.

FORMATTING

Please do not format your piece in any unusual way. Please do not use unusual fonts or special curly quotes. These do not come across well in email. Sometimes they come across as unicode or little boxes. Always, they risk interfering with the content of your piece.

LENGTH

All submission, regardless of type, should be 2500 words or less.

PAYMENT

You crack us up!  But seriously, though… Da_Chief is a sci-fi/ fantasy freak, so he might be able to scrounge up some mythical currency. And the Editor will waive her fees.

AUTHOR BIOS

Author bios will be requested once we confirm that you are indeed an author. You will then have to explain yourself in 30 words or less.

RESPONSE TIME

Response time may be up to one month, but we hope it will be much shorter. Please be patient.
